The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has assured the public that relocating customers to an adjoining station following the fire outbreak at the Achimota Bulk Supply Point poses no risk to power supply or system integrity.

This comes after a fire incident at Station 'H' in Achimota on Sunday, May 4, temporarily disrupted electricity supply to several parts of Accra, including Kanda, Cantonments, Haatso, Legon, Kwabenya, and Madina.

Giving an update on Channel One Newsroom, Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, ECG's General Manager for External Communications, emphasised that the decision to reroute power was based on a thorough technical assessment. "I also want to emphasise that before they were moved to the adjoining station, we did an assessment and realised that there was not going to be any challenge or issue.

So everything is fine," he said.
