The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has called for drastic action against Ghana's Attorney General, suggesting that either the Attorney General resign or be removed from office.

This remark came after a detailed reference to Ghana's Constitution and concerns over the Attorney General's performance in the discharge of duties.

In an interview on Joy News monitored by MyNewsGh, Nana B highlighted the core responsibilities of the Attorney General as outlined in Article 88 of Ghana's Constitution.

He pointed out that the Attorney General serves as the principal legal advisor to the government and has a wide range of duties, including the initiation and conduct of criminal and civil prosecutions on behalf of the state. "The Attorney General shall be responsible for the initiation and conduct of all prosecutions of criminal offenses.
