The Western Regional Minister, Joseph Nelson, has urged Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the region to prioritise proper sanitation management.

He emphasised that his administration will not tolerate any laxity that could lead to another cholera outbreak, similar to the one experienced in 2024.

Nelson stressed the importance of effective collaboration between his administration and the assemblies to implement measures that prevent disease outbreaks.

He urged the chief executives to take immediate action to address sanitation issues in their areas.
