The acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC), , has praised President for suspending Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, following the determination of a prima facie case in three separate petitions seeking her removal from office.
In a post on X shortly after the announcement of the suspension on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, he wrote, "Thank you, Mr.
President, for your courage.
Your suspension of the Chief Justice, in accordance with the advice of the Council of State, is a testament to your fidelity to the Constitution and the rule of law." President Mahama has suspended the Chief Justice and established a five-member committee to inquire into the petitions.
