The former Constituency Chairman of Afigya Kwabere South of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Chairman Coka, is of the view that it's been more than 100 days in office and the John Dramani Mahama administration has proven that the fight against galamsey is beyond them.
He says it is about time politics is taken away from the fight, and a bipartisan committee is set up to help fight the menace.
Chairman Coka emphasised the need for the government to swallow its pride and apologise to Ghanaians for politicising the fight when they were in opposition to ensure that every stakeholder comes on board to help with the fight.
In a social media post, Chairman Coka said "Mr President, Yesterday, I also wept when I saw the minister weeping because we are in a country where we do politics with every issue.
