Asante Kotoko's Interim Management Committee (IMC) has called for a meeting with three senior playersâMohammed Camara, Kwame Opoku, and Joseph Ablorâfollowing damning allegations made by former midfielder Justice Blay during a radio interview.
According to sources cited by Ghanasportspage.com, the IMC has contacted the players individually and scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, July 15, 2025, to address the claims and assess their gravity.
Blay, who was recently released by Kotoko amid rumours of misconduct and poor influence on younger teammates, took to Kumasi-based Pure FM to defend his image.
In doing so, he alleged that several current players, including goalkeeper Camara and midfielder Ablor, were also involved in smoking shisha and drinking alcohol. "People have been misinformed that I'm the only drunkard in the club, but that's not true," Blay stated during the interview, naming the two players as examples of a broader issue.
