The 2024 Vice Presidential Candidate of the (NPP), Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has dismissed rumours suggesting that he intends to contest for the party's flagbearer position for the 2028 general elections.
He rather stressed the need for a united front as the party prepares for the future.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the NPP's National Executive Council (NEC) meeting on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, he reiterated that his focus is not on personal ambition, but on promoting peace and unity within the party. "My immediate interest now is to get a united party for a flagbearer to be eventually crowned.
