The Minority in Parliament yesterday donated GH¢200,000 to victims of the recent fire outbreak at the Kantamanto Market in Accra to support affected traders who are still struggling to rebuild their businesses.
The donation, led by the Minority Leader, Mr Alexander Afenyo-Markin, is part of efforts to alleviate the suffering of fire victims in Accra and Kumasi.
It follows a similar gesture made to victims of the devastating Adum Blue Light Market fire in Kumasi, where another round of support was extended by the parliamentary group on Tuesday.
Addressing the affected traders during the presentation at Kantamanto, Mr Afenyo-Markin reaffirmed the Minority's commitment to standing with vulnerable citizens in times of distress.
