The (GHS) has declared Greater Accra Region cholera-free, after recoding zero cases within 30 consecutive days.
The Greater Accra Regional Essential Program on Immunisation (EPI) Manager, Akumatey Tetteh, confirmed the achievement, describing it as a major public health milestone. "I can confidently say that Greater Accra is cholera-free at the moment.
During the first and second quarters of this year, we recorded 151 cases and 10 deaths.
However, as of now, there have been no new cases.
