A communication team member of the (NDC), Ibrahim Ali, has issued a bold personal challenge, vowing to resign from the party if the government fails to arrest the Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev John Ntim Fordjour, over alleged drug trafficking claims.

Speaking on Neat FM on April 11, 2025, Ibrahim Ali claimed that intelligence he has obtained from within the party and through National Security sources suggests that the (NPP) Member of Parliament will be arrested in the coming week.

He stressed that if the arrest and detention do not materialise, he will relinquish his position as a party communicator and resign from the (NDC). "If we fail to invite, arrest and detain Ntim Fordjour within next week, I will resign as a member of the (NDC) communications team.

I'm repeating it that I, Ibrahim Ali, from what I know and the intelligence I've picked within our party and the National Security, if by the whole of next week, this man (Ntim Fordjour) is either not invited to the NIB or arrested and put behind cells, I will resign from the NDC," he boldly declared.
