The Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev. , has expressed his appreciation to former President and former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, for their unwavering support following the attempt by national security operatives to arrest him.

The arrest has been linked to Ntim Fordjour's comments regarding some alleged aircraft smuggling drugs and laundering money into the country.

On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, officials of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) allegedly attempted to arrest him in his home.

According to Government Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the standoff erupted because Rev.
