Personnel allegedly from the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) stormed the house of the Member of Parliament for the Assin South Constituency, Reverend John Ntim Fordjour, at Spintex yesterday, purportedly to arrest him.

The group, numbering about 20 and fully armed, reportedly arrived at his residence around 12:30 p.m.

to carry out the arrest, but were prevented by high-ranking members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) who got wind of the operation.

Reverend Ntim Fordjour has been in the news for the past two weeks following a press conference he addressed on behalf of the Minority in Parliament.
