Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi, has defended the actions of Rev.
John Ntim Fordjour, Ranking Member of the Defence and Interior Committee, over his call for investigations into alleged suspicious flights landing at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
Fordjour had raised concerns about two flights he claimed arrived at KIA, allegedly carrying drugs and large sums of cash, and demanded government accountability.
Speaking on The Point of View on Channel One TV on Wednesday, April 9, Oppong Nkrumah stressed that Fordjour's remarks were intended to prompt a responsible and transparent response from the government. "This was an invitation to the government to do the right thing," Nkrumah stated, noting that the President had initially acknowledged the gravity of the allegations and called for investigations.
