The Private Health Facilities Association of Ghana (PHFAoG) has announced the immediate cancellation of services for National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) holders.

In a statement issued on Friday, April 4, 2025 PHFAoG stated that the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) owes payments for services provided over the past eight months.

The statement, signed by PHFAoG President Dr.

Kwame Buabeng-Frimpong, indicated that the association has had numerous engagements with the NHIA, but the payments remain unsettled. "Despite numerous requests and engagements with the NHIA, coupled with several promises and timelines given, our member facilities are yet to receive reimbursement for services rendered over such a long period," the association said.
