Mourners gathered on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Jehovah Shammah Assemblies of God Church in New Ashongman, Accra, to bid a final farewell to Joana Deladem Yabani, the KNUST student allegedly murdered by her boyfriend.
The emotional ceremony drew a massive crowd, including family, friends, schoolmates, clergy, and dignitaries.
Among them were authorities and representatives from the KNUST student body, Achimota School Old Students Association, various Assemblies of God congregations in Accra, and Ashanti Regional Police Commander DCOP Teye Cudjoe and some security personnel.
Tears flowed freely as loved ones paid tribute to Joana, whose sudden and tragic death on February 27 shocked the nation.
