The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of General Constable John Kwabena Dogbetey.
The incident occurred on April 3, 2025, at Assin Dansame in the Central Region.
According to preliminary findings, Constable Dogbetey was part of an Anti-Galamsey Taskforce deployed to the area under the Assin Foso Police Division.
Reports indicate that while he was dismantling a chamfan machine used for illegal mining activities, a sudden gunshot rang out, fatally wounding him.
