Majority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has expressed regret over the chaos that erupted during a vetting session in Parliament.
Speaking on the Channel One Newsroom on Thursday April 3, he described the incident as avoidable and apologised for the disruption caused.
Dafeamekpor emphasised that parliamentary protocols provide clear guidelines for handling disagreements. "It was avoidable, it was regrettable because by protocols and our standards in Parliament if a caucus is in disagreement with what a committee was doing or if we are in disagreement with a matter that is being engaged in the house in terms of debate or whatever is on the floor, you take a decision to walk or boycott the decision.
It is part of the tools we use," he stated.
