Roads Minister, Kwame Governs Agbodza, has directed two local contractors, First Sky and Ozwald Investments Limited, to mobilise immediately and commence road construction on the Ashaiman-Afienya stretch and the Tema Motorway to Dawhenya stretch.
The directive is aimed at addressing the deteriorating state of these key routes and easing the burden on commuters.
The decision is expected to bring much-needed relief to road users who endure prolonged hours in traffic due to the poor condition of these roads.
The Ashaiman-Afienya and Tema Motorway-Dawhenya stretches serve as critical transport links, and their rehabilitation is seen as a priority for enhancing mobility and reducing travel delays.
