The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has vowed to resist any attempts by political parties to undermine the outcome of the 2024 General Elections. According to the party, while it is prepared to accept the will of the people and relinquish power if voted out, it will not tolerate any party that approaches the election with a "my way or the highway" attitude. This stance was articulated by the NPP's General Secretary, Justin Kodua, during a discussion focused on preventing electoral violence. "We stand for peace, we believe in the rule of law. We are proud of the multi-party democracy that we have been enjoying since 1992 and as a political party, we will not canvas, we will not behave in any manner that will defeat the peace that we are enjoying in this country or that will throw this country into chaos. That is something that we in the NPP will never do. "However, we will not also be coerced into submitting that one political party is so desperate that if they win, there will be mayhem in the country, therefore, we should hand over power to them, no!
