President John Mahama has nominated Killian Donkor for the position of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kpando municipality in the Volta Region.
The nomination, is however, subject to the approval by the municipal assembly.
A terse statement signed by Ahmed Ibrahim, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, said the president's nomination is in accordance with Article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20 (1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) (as amended).
Meanwhile, President Mahama on Thursday, March 27, 2025, nominated 71 persons for appointment as chief executives of metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies (MMDAs) in eight regions, pending approval from their respective assemblies.
