The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for fulfilling his promises of increasing the number of holidays dedicated to the celebration of Eidul Fitri in the country and the reduction in Hajj fares.
This gesture according to him reflected the true concerns the President had for the Islamic faith.
A statement issued from his office said "I wish to thank and commend His Excellency the President, John Dramani Mahama, on fulfilling the promise he made to us on additional holiday for Eidul Fitri and the reduction in Hajj fares.
We are grateful and we say "jazaaka llahu khairan"." He said as Muslims prepare towards the celebrations of Eid-ul-Fitr, unity and peace must be their watch word and work towards its attainment across the world.
