The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr Dominic Ayine, has acknowledged being under significant pressure - not from political circles, but from the Ghanaian public.

During a press conference on March 24, 2025, a journalist asked the AG if he felt compelled to prosecute officials from the previous administration accused of embezzling or misusing state resources.

In response, Dr Ayine admitted that the pressure he faces stems from ordinary citizens demanding accountability for the mismanagement of public funds.

He stated that the current government, before taking office, assured Ghanaians that accountability would be a cornerstone of their administration.
