Citinewsroom reports that Ghanaian businessman and entrepreneur, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, owes over Ghc million in outstanding income taxes, which is the genesis of his recent problems with financial regulators.
Quaye's personal bank accounts have been frozen by the Financial Intelligence Center (FIC).
Bank accounts belonging to his companies, Quick Credit and Bills MicroFinance, as well as the bank accounts of his company CEO, Rome-Richlove Seshie, have also been frozen.
According to CitiNewsroom, all these are in relation to income tax problems he's having with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
