Ghanaian journalist Kwaku Dawuro, host of Movement TV's morning show, has stated that former Vice President is the best candidate to lead the (NPP) into the 2028 general elections.
According to Dawuro, Dr Bawumia's experience and previous support from the electorate place him in a strong position to secure victory in the upcoming polls.
Speaking during an interactive session on August 30, 2025, Dawuro explained, "John Mahama and Bawumia contested the 2024 elections, where Mahama had 56% and Bawumia had 41%.
In the next election, Bawumia already has that 41%, and with Mahama not contesting again, any candidate the NDC brings will be starting from ground zero. "Because Mahama will not be on the ballot, his votes are essentially cancelled, and whoever replaces him as flagbearer will need to build their own support base from scratch.
