The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Former President John Dramani Mahama has justified his 'Ghana needs a reset' slogan. He says that when he talks about resting, it does not only affect the economy but also the attitudes of the people as well as the governance structure. Mr Mahama was replying to the flagbearer the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia who had 'hit' back at Mr Mahama, on the "reset" Ghana call. During the NDC's Manifesto launch, Mahama expressed the need for the electorate to overwhelmingly vote for him, stating that the country is "bleeding" and its "soul is crying for change."
But during his media engagement on Sunday, August 25, Dr Bawumia said "I represent the future, Ghana needs an upgrade, not a reset. I have also outlined my 14 key commitments to the Ghanaian people.
