The Board of Accra Hearts of Oak has extended a heartfelt message of congratulations to the Black Queens following their remarkable third-place finish at the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The senior national women's team clinched the bronze medal after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over South Africa, earning Ghana a spot on the podium and reigniting national pride.
In an official statement, Dr.
Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a board member of Hearts of Oak and former President of the Ghana Football Association, commended the Queens on behalf of the club's board. "We, the Board of Hearts of Oak, congratulate the Black Queens for their splendid performance, fearless character, and for restoring Ghana to the continental stage," the statement read.
