The Financial Intelligence Center (FIC) has frozen all bank accounts belonging to Ghanaian businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye, as a result of an order dated March 21, 2025.
Aside from Quaye's personal bank accounts, all accounts of his companies, Bills Micro Credit and Quick Credit, were also frozen, as were the bank accounts of the Bills Micro Credit Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Romeo-Richlove Kweku Seshie.
The action was taken by the FIC in accordance with Section 56(1) of the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2020 (Act 1044).
According to Citinewsroom, Quaye owes about GHS 30 million in personal income tax.
