The legal representatives of embattled former National Signal Bureau Director, Kwabena Adu-Boahene, and his wife, Angela Adjei Boateng, have criticized the Attorney-General (AG), Dr. , accusing him of bias, dishonesty, and undermining democratic principles.

The legal team, led by Samuel Atta Akyea of Zoe, Akyea & Co., described the AG's recent press briefing as a calculated move to prejudice public opinion against their clients.

In a statement on March 24, 2025, Atta Akyea criticized the AG for pronouncing his clients guilty in the "court of public opinion" while their case was still under investigation by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

He condemned what he described as a reckless attempt to turn the justice system into a political weapon, arguing that suspects must be treated with dignity until due process determines their guilt or innocence.
