There seems to be a brewing tension between the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Fire Service and some members of the governing National Democratic Congress.
The tension emanates from comments made by the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Fire Service, Alex King Nartey, on some harsh comments made by the Ashanti Regional Minister at firefighters who fought to ensure the market fires at Adum in Kumasi were doused.
Alex King Nartey who is being dragged on social media in an interview on Accra-based Gh One TV explained that their standard operating procedure requires that at least one tender is left of the fire scene so that any water that comes will be filled into it.
For that reason, it was right that the fire tender be stationed there even if there was no water in it.
