The Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) has raised concerns over the increasing encroachment on lands earmarked for critical nuclear projects, warning that these unauthorized developments pose significant risks.

One affected site is the area earmarked for the construction of an Electron Beam Irradiation Facility, which has now been compromised by illegal settlers.

Speaking to Channel One News, Anthony Nana Boateng, Director of Commercialization and Communication at GAEC, disclosed that some individuals have illegally breached security barricades protecting sections of GAEC's land behind the Bohye Police Base Workshop and Ga-East Hospital.
