Michael Harry Yamson, the newly appointed Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), has emphasised the need for improved technological capacity and greater transparency in the management and utilisation of the fund.

Speaking during his vetting before Parliament's Appointments Committee on Thursday, March 20, 2025, Yamson outlined his vision for enhancing accountability and ensuring that the DACF delivers maximum impact for citizens across the country.

He stressed the need for leveraging technology, which he says, would play a critical role in tracking how funds are spent, assessing their effectiveness, and measuring their impact on local communities. "One of the things that I believe will help us is to improve our own technological capacity to help us better understand how we are spending, the effectiveness of how we are spending, and the impactfulness of how we spend," he stated.

He also highlighted the importance of making information about the DACF more accessible to the public.
