Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has assured  President John Dramani Mahama that Ghana will bounce back in their crucial World Cup qualifier against Chad on Friday, March 21.

Mahama paid a surprise visit to the team's training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, where he encouraged the players ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

The visit comes after Ghana's disappointing 2024 campaign, where the Black Stars failed to qualify for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in two decades.

Despite the recent struggles, Ayew remains confident in the team's ability to turn things around. "It's a big sign that you're here supporting us.
