The government is set to send over 150,000 students to private senior high schools as part of the free Senior High School policy.

As part of the initiative, students will be assigned to both day and boarding schools among the over 168 currently in operation.

The National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) revealed this in an interview on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM.

Executive Director Obenfo Nana Kwesi Gyetua disclosed that the government has engaged with that and put before its plan to incorporate private schools into the free SHS policy.
