Gyasi has raised concerns over the political influence shaping Ghana's education system.

Speaking on Asetena Pa with Akoto Mansa monitored by MyNewsGH, the honorary member of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) reflected on the evolution of the sector from Kwame Nkrumah's era to the current Free Senior High School (SHS) policy under President Akufo-Addo.

According to Gyasi, many of the changes implemented over the years have been politically motivated rather than focused on the long-term improvement of the system. "Free education is not a new idea-Nkrumah was the originator and implementer of it," he asserted.
