Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority, Prof has urged the ruling (NDC) to go easy on the opposition (NPP) in the impending Akwatia constituency by-election.

He pleaded that it would be thoughtful of the NDC to not contest the Akwatia seat which has become vacant following the sudden demise of their MP Ernest Yaw Kumi.

Speaking on TV3's Key Points on July 12, 2025, he appealed to the leaders of the NDC to relax their stance on the NPP in the upcoming by-election in Akwatia constituency.

His remarks were situated in the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the death of the late MP for Akwatia Ernest Yaw Kumi. "I think the NDC should not press the neck of the NPP too hard going into the Akwatia constituency by-elections.
