A member of the Convention People's Party, Kwame Jantuah has said President Mahama made the right decision to appoint a new Inspector General of Police (IGP) to replace Dr.

George Akuffo Dampare.

Speaking in an interview on TV3's New Day, March 14, he said President Mahama was only executing his Executive powers and has the right to appoint people he's comfortable to work with.

Kwame Jantuah noted that with 40 years of experience in the police service, the new IGP COP Yohuno would make the police force better. "The President changes who he feels he can work with…I don't see what the hue and cry is about, the president has decided to change, he's changed… I knew about the change of the IGP around January 10 and I knew it would be this guy from my own sources and more is going to come. "The most important thing is that the police force would be better with the new IGP," he stated.
