Franklin Cudjoe, President of IMANI Africa, has commended Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson for his strategic approach to funding the recently abolished taxes.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 11, he described the move to reduce tax refunds as a smart decision that ensures fiscal balance while easing the burden on taxpayers.
His comments followed Dr Ato Forson's announcement in Parliament during the 2025 Budget presentation, where he revealed the government's decision to abolish the betting tax, e-levy, emissions levy, and other charges.
The Finance Minister explained that these tax cuts were aimed at providing relief to individuals and businesses while promoting economic growth.
