The Chief Director, Ministry of Health (MoH), Alhaji Hafiz Adam, has called on stakeholders to collaborate with government in order to improve the lives of individuals living with rare diseases in the country.
He underscored that they must work together to create nation where everyone, no matter their medical condition have access to proper diagnosis, treatment and care. "As a nation, we must work together to ensure that every person, no matter their medical condition, is granted the same level of dignity and access to healthcare.
It is our responsibility to provide the necessary support, resources, and care to those living with rare diseases in Ghana," he explained.
The Chief Director made the call at the launch of Rare Disease Day 2025, organised by the Rare Disease Ghana Initiative (RDGI) in Accra last Friday.
