The Chief Executive of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr Julius Neequaye Kotey, joined a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Transport on a strategic study tour to Rwanda.
The delegation which was led by the Minister of Transport, Mr Joseph Bukari Nikpe, included representatives from the National Road Safety Authority, DVLA and members of the Tricycle and Okada Riders' Unions, is hosted by Rwanda Cooperation.
The visit is aimed at studying Rwanda's successful approach to regulating and integrating motorcycle taxis, focusing on safety, efficiency, and economic sustainability.
The study tour is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping Ghana's transport policy, particularly in regulating commercial motorcycles and tricycles popularly known as Okada.
