The Member of (MP) for Ofoase Ayirebi, , has questioned what he describes as an inconsistency in the 's (NDC) stance on national priorities.

Speaking during an interview in a post shared on X by SIKAOFFICIAL on March 4, 2025, regarding the recent commissioning of the Hajj Village, Oppong Nkrumah pointed out what he sees as a contradiction in the NDC's approach to religious infrastructure. "Is this the same NDC that, when the issue of the National Cathedral came up, said there were more pressing priorities and that Ghana's problems had not been fully addressed?

Yet now, they claim the Hajj Village is a priority and want to take credit for it?" he asked.

His comments follow the commissioning of the Hajj Village by President Mahama, a facility designed to support Ghanaian Muslim pilgrims traveling to Mecca, which has been touted as a major achievement.
