Western Regional Minister, Joseph Nelson, has reaffirmed the government's commitment to launching programs and projects that address the challenges faced by deprived communities in the Western Region.

Speaking to chiefs and people of Zongo communities who visited him at the Western Regional Coordinating Council on Monday, March 3, 2025, Nelson emphasized that the government's efforts to reset the country will prioritize the needs of deprived communities.

He assured that the government will implement the National Democratic Congress's manifesto pledges, which include supporting Zongo areas in the region.

Nelson highlighted President John Dramani Mahama's swift fulfillment of critical campaign promises, such as reducing Hajj fares for the Muslim community and declaring an additional holiday during Eid festivities.
