Finance Minister, Dr.
Cassiel Ato Forson has emphasized the need for strategic reforms in Ghana's oil sector, highlighting the Pecan oil field as a crucial factor in improving the country's economic trajectory.
Speaking at the National Economic Dialogue, Forson stated that moderate reforms in Ghana's struggling economy could prioritize fast-tracking the development of the Pecan oil field to help stabilize growth.
However, he stressed that ambitious reforms would require a more comprehensive approach to fully harness the potential of Ghana's oil sector. "The moderate reforms will largely mean that we quickly bring on stream the Pecan field, and that will adjust from where we are and improve the growth trend.
