Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has revealed that Ghana's economic challenges began long before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking at the 2025 National Economic Dialogue in Accra, Dr.
Ato Forson emphasised that the roots of the 2022 macroeconomic crisis can be traced back to pre-pandemic times. "Truth be told, the causes of the 2022 macroeconomic crisis can be traced well before COVID-19 and the deterioration of global economic conditions. "In fact, when these shocks struck, the Ghanaian economy was already in a very precarious state," Dr.
