Public Relations Officer of the Veterans Administration Ghana (VAG), Ex WO1 Bright Segbefia says World War II veterans have been neglected by "successive governments.

He argues that these war veterans are currently depending on grants to survive. "Veterans Administration Ghana has been able to secure an annual grant of 110 Pounds from the Royal Commonwealth ex-services league in the UK with the support of the British government.

It comes twice a year, and it includes surviving widowers of the veterans.

That has been their only means of livelihood," he disclosed in an interview on 3FM on February 28.
