Chairman of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), Bernard Owusu, has called for greater job security in the public sector, free from political interference.
His remarks follow the TUC's appeal to President John Dramani Mahama to reverse the annulment of all public sector appointments made after December 7.
In an exclusive interview on Channel One Newsroom on Wednesday, February 26, Owusu lamented the recurring trend of terminating public servants' appointments whenever a new government assumes office, citing similar occurrences in 2012 and 2017.
He criticized the practice as a politically motivated disruption and urged for a more stable working environment. "When a government comes into place, they revoke employment of public servants.
