The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, known popularly as Abronye, is expected to report to the office of the National Investigation Bureau (NIB).
A letter issued on February 21, 2025, and signed by the Bono Regional Commander, Mr Kwaku Afari, invited Abronye to the office of the NIB Kwawukudi.
Abronye is said to assist the NIB with an ongoing investigation into claims of corruption-related activities involving the President and his government.
The invitation has been condemned by analysts who are of the view that it is an intimidating tactic being employed by the National Investigative Bureau.
