Newly appointed Black Stars technical advisor, Alfred Schafer, has arrived in Ghana ahead of the Black Stars' 2026 World Cup qualifying games in March.

As part of a technical restructuring, which saw Ghana part ways with assistant coach Joseph Laumann in January, 75-year-old Alfred Schafer was appointed technical advisor of the Black Stars.

Schafer was appointed alongside Desmond Ofei (assistant coach), Kris Perquy (psychologist), and Gregory De Grauwe (video analyst).

Schafer's role was previously held by former Ghana manager Chris Hughton, who was elevated to the head coach position after 12 months.
