Presidential Advisor and Special Aide to President Mahama has cautioned against publication of false reports about her.
In an Instagram post on February 24, 2025, Joyce Bawah categorically stated that henceforth, she will not hesitate to take legal action against "perpetrators of such false and malicious publications." Her statement comes after some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) accused her of illegally acquiring a vehicle for personal use.
Responding to the allegations, she noted that members of the opposition New Patriotic Party have resorted to "baseless, needless and unjustified tactics" after losing the elections.
She said the allegations against her are untrue as she lawfully acquired the said vehicle for personal use. "Their attacks would have been justified if in their haste to attack me, they were able to show that the acquisition was not in full compliance with my Conditions of Service or any law," she wrote.
