The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has announced the intentions of the government to introduce a National Standardized Test (NST) in basic schools.
The NST is a standardized assessment designed to measure students' proficiency in core subjects such as Mathematics and English language.
It aims to serve as a platform for students in basic schools across the country to gauge their understanding of the curriculum and test their readiness for the BECE.
Speaking at a public forum on Monday, February 17, 2025, the education minister emphasized that the NST is intended to help students prepare for the BECE and other national tests.
