The Ghana Police Hospital has announced plans to conduct a mass burial for approximately 200 unclaimed bodies as part of efforts to decongest its mortuary.

The burial exercise is scheduled to take place within the first quarter of 2025, and families of missing persons have been urged to visit the hospital's pathology department before February 28, 2025, to identify and claim their deceased relatives.

After this deadline, all unclaimed bodies will be laid to rest in a collective burial.

This initiative comes as the hospital struggles with overcrowding in its storage facilities.
